Lance Nutt is the Executive Vice President of FBT Bank & Mortgage in Fordyce, AR.
What are your daily job responsibilities?
My job responsibilities include working with the lending function of the bank and managing the one and only Trust account we have.
What does effective leadership look like to you?
To me effective leadership is leading by example in that no job is too big or too small. My dad and grandfather both ran a business their entire adult lives and they both led by example. In addition, to leading by example an effective leader always needs to listen to those around them and to inspire others to think about ways we can be more efficient.
How has leadership changed in 2020?
COVID-19 has definitely changed the way we operate. Our institution has always embraced technology but, COVID-19 has us branching out of the norms to look for more effective ways to help better serve our customers and communities. Our leaders also had to make unprecedented decisions to help ensure the safety of all employees and customers alike.
