What is the greatest advice you have ever been given?

Always work hard and don’t be afraid to fail. Without failure, there cannot be growth. Own your mistakes and use them as lessons and a planning tool for future success.

What is the most effective daily habit you possess?

Treating everyone with respect. I think it is important to talk less and listen more and to have empathy for others and be sure they know their value and worth.

What does effective leadership look like to you?

Effective leadership is knowing the difference between being a leader and a boss. It is knowing that leadership is not about myself, but about developing my team and helping them reach their full potential by building their confidence. Luckily, none of us have to be the smartest person in the room. We just need to ensure we rely on each other and know that we can only succeed by working together as a team.

The ELS Spotlight is an ongoing series to highlight our Emerging Leaders from around Arkansas.
